Role Overview
Contable Fiscal – Accountant in our Madrid office. Join Group-IPS, an international engineering and architecture project company with EPCM expertise and presence in more than 10 countries.
About the Role
You will work closely with the accounting and finance team to ensure full accounting, tax and administrative compliance for IPS Spain S.A. and Arquíd S.L.P. Responsibilities include safeguarding financial accuracy, meeting legal deadlines, aligning with Group reporting standards, managing cash flow, corporate reporting, and supporting ERP implementation.
Responsibilities
* Record, classify, and archive accounting and tax documents in ERP and SharePoint.
* Manage payments, bank reconciliations, and cash flow forecasts.
* Handle accounts receivable and payable, ensuring correct invoicing, collections, and supplier payments.
* Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT, corporate tax, and other filings.
* Support monthly reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and payroll accounting.
* Assist in ERP implementation and contribute to process improvements within the Finance team.
* Collaborate with the wider finance team on projects outside day‑to‑day operations.
Qualifications
* Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration.
* Minimum 2 years of professional experience in accounting, tax compliance, and administrative tasks.
* Solid knowledge of general accounting principles and tax compliance (VAT, corporate tax, withholding).
* Background in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow management.
* Experience with Dynamics 365 ERP systems.
* Strong command of MS Office, especially Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
* Familiarity with SharePoint or similar documentation management tools.
* Fluent in English and Spanish; other languages are a plus.
* Prior exposure to international or multicultural environments will be valued.
