Climatize makes it incredibly simple to invest in renewable energy projects across the US while potentially earning up to 12. Having successfully raised over $12,300,000 for 26 renewable energy projects since our launch in May 2023, we're expanding our engineering team and seeking a founding AI / ML Engineer to be the technical lead for a new product line.
Our mission is to generate $1 Billion per year of new investments in renewable energy by 2030 while the vision is to build a global network for climate finance.

Overview
Architect and lead development of a production-grade multi-agent system designed for renewable energy project development.
Responsibilities
* Investment memo preparation with financial modeling and risk analysis.
* Build and maintain a supervisory agent layer for evaluation, error handling, and memory management across tasks.
* Integrate the system with external tools (Helioscope, Paces, Energy Toolbase), vector databases, and structured document pipelines.
* Lead orchestration of LLMs and APIs, including LangChain, RAG pipelines, and commercial models (OpenAI, Claude, Manus).
* Own deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement cycles to ensure reliability, scalability, and compliance with performance and safety requirements.
Qualifications
* 7+ years professional experience in software engineering or applied ML, with 2+ years building production AI agents or multi-agent systems.
* Strong backend engineering background (Python, Docker, cloud deployment).
* Experience with solar design tools (Helioscope, PVsyst, Aurora), geospatial / energy data workflows, or project finance.
* Experience integrating solar and energy system design tools (Helioscope, PVsyst, SAM, Energy Toolbase) into automated workflows.
* Familiarity with permitting, interconnection, and compliance processes in distributed energy projects.
* Proficiency with vector databases, RAG architectures, and hybrid retrieval systems.
* Track record working in early-stage startups or entrepreneurial environments with high technical autonomy.
