📢 We Are Hiring: Business Development Manager – Renewable Energy
We are looking for a Business Development Manager with solid experience in the renewable energy sector to help drive the growth of our pipeline of solar, wind and energy storage projects.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in identifying new opportunities, leading project development and contributing to our expansion strategy across the Spanish and European markets.
🔍 Key Responsibilities
Development Strategy
* Analyze energy market trends and detect growth areas, risks and competitive opportunities, including hybridization and new business models (eg: partnership opportunities, energy management, etc.).
* Evaluate, in partnership with other corporate departments, new business development opportunities in the solar, wind and storage areas across Spain and Europe.
Project Development and Technical & Regulatory Assessment
* Perform technical feasibility analyses, including yield analysis.
* Prepare basic engineering of renewable energy projects (layout, etc.).
* Interpret energy regulations, grid requirements and relevant regulatory updates with the support of the Legal & Regulatory Affairs department
* Lead permitting processes and other development initiatives to expand the company’s renewable energy pipeline, focusing on hybridization of the existing operational portfolio.
* Identify new energy management opportunities and collaborate with other corporate departments in the negotiation process of electricity sale agreements (PPA, etc.).
Internal Coordination
* Ensure alignment of projects with corporate strategy and growth objectives.
* Collaborate with other corporate departments such as legal, finance and operations teams to ensure optimal business development processes.
🎯 Requirements
* Engineering degree
* 5–7 years of experience in renewable project development and technical assessment (solar, wind and especially battery storage) in Spain and Europe.
* Strong knowledge of the Spanish and European energy markets and permitting processes.
* Solid negotiation and communication skills.
* Experience in team management.
* Proactive mindset and eagerness to take on new challenges.
* Strategic thinking, results orientation and autonomy.
* C2 or higher level of English.
* Availability to travel.
* Knowledge of AutoCAD, PVsyst and WindPRO.
