Job Description
The People and Culture Coordinator will provide comprehensive and professional Human Resources administration and coordination support to the Alliance People and Culture team, managers, and employees in an accurate and timely manner.
The Project
The Eastern Busway is a significant project that is about more than just better transport. It will increase access to jobs and education, connect people to social and community opportunities, attract investment and growth, enable urban development, and help reduce emissions. Its efficient services will give nearby communities some great options for cycling, walking or using the bus, and it will be a vital part of the public transport network in Tāmaki Makaurau for decades to come.
Responsibilities
* Onboarding and Induction Coordination – Facilitate the onboarding and induction of new Alliance staff, ensuring all approvals are in place and processes align with Alliance and home organisation policies.
* Workforce Planning and Resourcing Support – Maintain accurate workforce plans and organisational charts, support recruitment processes, attend resource meetings, and assist in developing position descriptions.
* Learning and Development Administration – Coordinate training activities, including scheduling, booking, and maintaining training records. Support performance reviews and other development initiatives.
* HR Administration and Data Management – Maintain accurate employee data in HRIS systems, manage personnel files, conduct data cleansing, and support reporting and dashboard creation.
* Stakeholder and Relationship Management – Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams and external partners, including suppliers and subcontractors.
* Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Support – Promote safe work practices, support HS&E procedures, attend safety meetings, and coordinate wellbeing initiatives like food and fruit box deliveries.
* Project and General Support – Participate in various projects and assist with additional duties as required, while upholding and promoting the Alliance’s values and behaviours.
Required Skills and Competencies
* Previous experience as an HR administrator / coordinator or experience in relevant position.
* Experience working on large construction project from setup to demobilisation, preferable.
* Tertiary qualification in HR or related field or qualified by experience.
* Practical knowledge of employment legislation advantageous.
* Understanding of core HR processes and their application.
* Skilled in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
