Functions
We are seeking a Principal Consultant - Team Leader with experience in Project Management and environmental impact assessment to join our growing Capital Project Delivery team in Spain. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Madrid or Barcelona, with options for remote work.
* Develop and manage Environmental & Social Impact Assessment studies and projects.
* Prepare, update, and review technical documentation.
* Manage relationships with authorities, clients, and contractors.
* Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including IPPC Decree, EIA decrees, and permitting requirements.
* Define, coordinate, and implement environmental monitoring plans.
* Identify and develop new project opportunities, prepare technical proposals and cost estimates, and maintain client relationships.
* Work across various services and sectors, including oil & gas, power (renewables), and manufacturing.
* Ensure impact assessment studies comply with local legal and institutional requirements (e.g., IFC, EBRD).
About you:
* Master’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental sciences, or related fields.
* 3-5 years of experience in project management.
* Leadership experience.
* Ideally 7+ years in consulting or environmental services, with a focus on environmental permitting, EIA, or Environmental Social Due Diligence in Spain.
* Knowledge of EHS national environmental regulations and international standards (IFC, EBRD).
* Proficiency in Spanish and English; French is a plus.
* Experience liaising with authorities and stakeholders.
