Job PurposeThe Robotics Business Development Manager for the Southern Europe cluster is responsible for identifying and developing strategic business relationships with group purchasing organizations and other potential customers, working closely with the sales, marketing, and recon teams.The opportunity is ideal for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a leading company in the field of orthopaedic and medical device equipment.The Robotics Business Development Manager will be accountable for developing growth strategies focused on sales targets, building key customer relationships, identifying business opportunities with healthcare funders, negotiating and closing deals with decision-makers, and maintaining extensive knowledge of current market trends.The role involves working closely with Orthopaedic Sales and Marketing teams to create and recommend commercial strategies, develop effective tracking metrics, and implement sales channels to maximize revenue.We seek a candidate with an entrepreneurial spirit, passion for sales, a proven track record, and a hands-on approach to building business opportunities. This regional position covers the entire SOEUR cluster and requires collaboration with marketing, sales, and product management teams to achieve sales goals and expand the robotic technology footprint.What will you be doing?
Accountable for sales forecasts, budgets, and demand planning with regional and global management.Prospect actively to identify new customers by networking with directors, sales teams, and distributors.Arrange and conduct meetings with prospective stakeholders.Research potential accounts in partnership with local sales and marketing teams.Participate in establishing capital pricing aligned with regional and global strategies.Prepare commercial quotes, sales agreements, and evaluations, ensuring legal and compliance alignment.Align commercial models and pricing strategies to customer needs, managing multiple stakeholders.Handle objections, negotiate, and persuade effectively.Provide feedback and after-sales support.Grow and retain existing accounts by launching new products and software.Plan strategically to launch new platforms and extend pipelines with regulatory support.Attend conferences for marketing insights and competitive intelligence.Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels to increase sales.Develop unique selling propositions based on market and competitor analysis.Prepare and present monthly business reviews to senior management.Manage customer data using CRM tools for reporting.Provide technical support to the local Technical Field Specialist.Implement regional marketing strategies and develop service infrastructure in key countries.Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to develop opportunities and synergies.What will you need to be successful?
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent;
MBA or Master’s preferred.Experience in healthcare and capital equipment, especially medical devices.Passion for disruptive technologies and innovation.Ability to build relationships with procurement groups.Proven success in prospecting and developing new business.Strong sales techniques and experience closing large deals.Commercial leadership and motivation.Cross-cultural project management experience preferred.Operational sales skills.Stakeholder management skills.Strategic thinking for profitable growth.Excellent communication skills in English;
