We are looking for :
Contract Senior Mechanical Engineer Commissioning to join our team in Europe : Portugal, Spain.
Primary Responsibilities :
* Managing the entire mechanical building commissioning process.
* Developing commissioning plans, schedules, reports, checklists, and test scripts for mechanical systems.
* Developing and securing third-party buy-in into project certification strategies specific to mechanical components.
* Recording detailed progress prerequisites for mechanical systems.
* Routine data management in our project management software, focusing on mechanical aspects.
* Conducting and reporting inspections and tests related to mechanical systems.
* Assisting in the development of design and commissioning documentation for tender and construction, emphasizing mechanical elements.
* Attending project and internal meetings, representing the mechanical commissioning perspective.
* Arranging test instrumentation with a focus on mechanical systems.
* Supporting tender submissions with mechanical requirements.
* Providing technical support during client discussions related to mechanical components.
* Reviewing technical papers / reports on mechanical systems before publication.
* Collaborating with general contractor’s team to develop commissioning strategies aligned with project objectives, focusing on mechanical aspects.
* Assessing project schedules, drawings, manuals, and technical submittals related to mechanical systems.
* Documenting meetings involving mechanical commissioning discussions.
* Providing progress reports and project close-out documentation with a focus on mechanical systems.
* Managing factory test attendance and reporting for mechanical components.
* Arranging third-party sign-off for mechanical systems.
* Offering technical advice to clients on project and operational risks related to mechanical aspects.
Preferred Responsibilities :
* Experience in delivering projects as CxA, Level 4, or Heat Load testing.
Required Qualifications :
* At least 8 years of commissioning experience.
* Strong drive, enthusiasm, and attention to detail.
* Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services systems.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Problem-solving skills, creativity, and multi-tasking ability.
* Task and deadline orientation.
* Ability to work collaboratively and produce high-quality work.
Preferred Qualifications :
* Certification as a commissioning professional (e.g., CxA, CCP, BCxP, CBCP).
* Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
* Professional Engineer license preferred.
* Experience in Data Center commissioning.
* Proficiency in HVAC load calculation software such as Trace or IES.
* Local candidates preferred.
