As a Business Development Representative (Outbound Sales – Spanish market), you will identify and engage high‐potential prospects through targeted, multi‐channel outreach. By building relationships, qualifying leads, and showcasing Sage's value, you'll create new opportunities and set the stage for our Account Executives to close deals.
This role is hybrid and requires you to work three days a week from our Barcelona office.
Responsibilities
Identify and engage new prospects to expand Sage's customer base.
Execute personalized outreach strategies using phone, email, and LinkedIn.
Qualify and nurture outbound leads, ensuring seamless handoff to Account Executives.
Research and prioritize high‐potential target accounts with data‐driven insights.
Run multi‐touch outbound campaigns across phone, email, social media, and bespoke messaging platforms.
Identify decision‐makers and influencers within target accounts and initiate conversations.
Qualify prospects based on BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline) and other criteria.
Nurture leads that are not yet ready to purchase through targeted follow‐up communications.
Develop outreach messaging tailored to industry and prospect pain points.
Overcome objections and position Sage's solutions as valuable business enablers.
Establish initial relationships to provide a foundation for Account Executives to close deals.
Maintain accurate prospect data in the CRM to track outreach effectiveness.
Analyze and report on pipeline health, lead conversion rates, and outreach performance.
Leverage sales automation tools to optimize efficiency and improve engagement rates.
Collaborate closely with Account Executives to ensure seamless lead handoff and feedback loops.
Partner with Marketing to refine outbound messaging and enhance engagement.
Contribute to best practice playbooks to optimise outbound prospecting processes.
Engage in advanced outbound sales training to improve cold calling, objection handling, and consultative conversations.
Stay updated on competitor offerings and industry trends to sharpen outbound positioning.
Participate in peer coaching sessions to exchange strategies and optimise outreach efforts.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
Minimum one year of SaaS prospecting experience.
Hands‐on outbound experience (cold calling, email, LinkedIn).
Experience with sales engagement tools and CRM.
Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed KPIs/quotas related to pipeline or meetings booked.
Fluent in Spanish and English.
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with advanced outbound strategies (multi‐threading, account‐based prospecting).
Strong skills in cold call and email personalization.
Basic understanding of sales frameworks (MEDDICC, BANT).
