**RESPONSABILITIES**
Understanding Nutreco Commodity Demand
Understand in detail the demand reported to Procurement or forecasted via Buy-Sell. CPRM team advises the Category teams in linking this demand to the overall Category price exposure. Develop in conjunction with the Category Teams appropriate risk strategies to reduce the overall price risk and manage input costs to secure target margins. Oversee the process where CPRM monitor the price risk associated with the reported demand and ensure the strategies employed are effectively governed by the Risk Management Policy.
- Perform fundamental and technical market analysis for the key exposure within the Categories
- Provide insights from terminal markets to the Category Teams lead (e.g. liquidity, participation, competitive insight) for consideration in the commodity price risk management (CPRM) strategy.
- Collect data and decipher market information to the group, including historic data, trends and outlook and advise Category Teams in developing a view to
commodity price movements
- Drive recommendations on price risk tools (e.g. derivative solutions) to realize CPRM strategy, including simulation of scenarios based on different price risks.
- Enhance current hedging strategies
Managing Commodity Price Exposure
Managing commodity price exposure in accordance with the Risk Management Policy through the use of innovative price risk management tools aimed specifically at reducing volatility. A major job function will be the identification of effective risk management tools which meet the guidelines of the policy.
Related duties include:
- Report commodity price exposure including the marked-to-market impact of executed price risk strategies
- Work closely with the Category Teams in developing price risk management strategies also for non-exchange traded commodities such as barley
- Explore and develop best in class price volatility reduction strategies and tools
- Align with Category Teams in executing all risk management mandates given by the Risk Management Committee. Track and report all commodity positions against changing underlying demand requirements.
**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
- An appropriate Bachelor’s degree and finance related qualification is essential
- 7 years of risk management experience
- Extensive experience and understanding of agriculture related commodities along with foreign exchange.
- Experience of working closely with Finance and Treasury to ensure accounting and policy guidelines are continuously adhered
- International working experience
- Leadership and communication skills and team work
- High level of English (Spanish also highly desirable)
