Job Purpose: Vendor, Technology or Business Unit, Profit & Loss (P&L), commercial and business development ownership through working directly with vendors and customers on all aspects of business growth activity. Collaborate with all relevant business functions to deliver best-in-class systems and processes.
Responsibilities:
* Execute the Business Unit strategy in full alignment with the agreed strategy to grow profitable market share.
* Lead the vendor pricing and profit strategy through collaboration with Profit and Business Optimisation teams to review price elasticity, drive profitability improvements, and handle exception management.
* Drive sales out of the agreed vendor portfolio, including new vendor identification and onboarding, and other business development initiatives to optimize results.
* Support the development of direct reports and/or development of divisional assistant category managers (ACMs) or business development executives (BDEs).
* Own full product and vendor lifecycle management, including system accuracy, product adoption & creation, and contract management.
* Maintain commercial & sales relationships with vendor & customer key stakeholders.
* Identify opportunities for commercial & operational process improvements.
* Ensure ongoing use of CRM tools to maintain best-in-class business continuity.
* Own quarterly vendor business planning and execution.

* Commercial acumen and strategic planning capabilities.
* Skilled at building relationships at multiple levels.
* Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
* Effective time management and prioritization skills.
* High energy, motivation, and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
* Experience in the IT industry with channel and/or vendor at a business management level, ideally from a product marketing background.
* Experience with SAP R3 and Business Warehouse.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
* Experience in services and solution selling.
* Ability to develop business cases and engage in strategic planning.
* Experience working within a matrix organizational structure.
* Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Business planning experience with a strong operational cadence.
