Context And Mission
Barcelona Supercomputing Centre is looking for a person to work on the dissemination of collaborative European research projects, and other communication-related activities.
The chosen candidate will work with others within BSC’s project dissemination unit, with the centre’s researchers and with external partners on activities to communicate relevant research activities and results to the scientific community, to industry and to the general public.
Key Duties
* Coordinate the work of multiple partners
* Maintain close contact with Principal Investigators and identify results to be disseminated
* Write, edit and correct documents (including project deliverables)
* Generate content and contribute to dissemination materials (web, social media, newsletters, press releases, videos, magazines, posters, leaflets)
* Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators
* Organise and participate in project events
* Organise and chair meetings and teleconferences
* Follow up partners’ activities and compile contributions
* Identify suitable forums in which to disseminate projects
* Liaise with relevant representatives from funding bodies and related projects
* Represent the BSC and specific projects at meetings (including project reviews)
* Write dissemination activities within project proposals
* Collaborating with other functional groups within the center
* Coordination of the team
Requirements
* Education
o Bachelor’s degree in a related field (communication, journalism, science, marketing, advertising, public relations, etc.)
o Master’s degree in scientific communication or similar and specific courses a plus
* Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
o At least 2 years’ experience in science communication, or management of research projects, or science degree holders with interest/experience in communication
o Knowledge and experience of management or dissemination of EU funded projects or EU/national agencies/organisations/bodies will be positively valued
o Capacity to interact and build strong relations with a diverse members/stakeholder/staff base
o Creativity to devise novel, innovative communication tools (print/online)
o Willingness to travel
* Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
o Fluency in English and Spanish.

o Excellent written and verbal communication skills including good editorial skills
o Ability to take initiative, prioritize and work under deadlines
o Ability to work both independently and to coordinate closely with a team
o Excellent interpersonal skills; a cooperative team player, able to develop productive relationships with colleagues and external collaborators
o Organized and able to simultaneously manage multiple projects

* The position will be located at BSC within the CASE Department
