Responsibilities
This role involves structurally improving the transportation network by working in multifunctional teams with internal and external partners.
You will collaborate with planning, customer service, finance, distribution centres, factories (mainly in Barcelona), control tower, and forwarders to create value.
Your objectives include leading continuous improvement activities, executing savings projects, and overseeing cost, service, carrier, and control tower performance.
Day-to-day transport execution is not directly managed but involves enforcing standards, monitoring variances, and discussing actions with carriers.
Main focus areas:
* Monitoring transportation service performance via KPIs (OTP, OTD, etc.) and implementing improvement actions.
* Ensuring control tower performance and applying corrective measures when needed.
* Managing carriers through regular reviews and corrective actions.
* Leading transportation cost optimization with stakeholders and control tower.
* Analyzing root causes of emergencies and deviations, and implementing actions to minimize them.
* Approving extra costs above thresholds and minimizing additional expenses.
* Escalating issues after the control tower and communicating promptly with stakeholders.
* Overseeing critical shipments for maximum visibility and on-time delivery.
* Forecasting transportation needs for capacity planning.

Candidate Profile
As an experienced Transport Manager, you will thrive in a fast-paced, diverse, and international setting, with ownership and accountability.
Requirements include:
* A degree in Logistics or Supply Chain; master's preferred.
* At least 7 years of operational experience in transportation or freight forwarding, preferably in a multinational or global forwarding company.
* Experience with Control Tower and TMS is a plus.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Advanced digital skills; knowledge of AI technologies is a plus.
* Result-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and manage priorities independently.
* Deep knowledge of supply chain, logistics, and transportation best practices.
* Effective team player with proactive engagement in complex matrix organizations.
* Innovative mindset.
* Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Flexible, hands-on, proactive approach.
