Business Development Officer We are expanding our portfolio of companies and looking for a Business Development professional to identify prospects and build relationships that lead to business deals with vertical software companies in Spain. Reporting to the Business Development Manager and working directly with the M&A;
team, the role requiresto have a structured way of working and to be result oriented. A successful candidate for this position will show high interest in business development, commercial talent with a strong analytical mindset and very strong communication skills. SO, WHO ARE WE? WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING Identify vertical software businesses in Spain that meet our acquisition criteria. Conduct outbound prospecting calls, email blasts and social media communication to identify and connect with target companies. Conduct follow-up on outbound and inbound lead activity in a timely manner. Plan, develop and conduct prospecting campaigns via LinkedIn, email, calls, trade show attendance and in-person meetings. Engage owners,
shareholders and other stakeholders in meaningful dialogue. Support the M&A;
team in qualifying potential targets for the company. Track activities and maintain relevant information in Salesforce. Generate and report on leads, set qualified appointments and move opportunities through the M&A;
pipeline to our business team. WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU? University degree or masters, preferably related to the business world or psychological / social experience. 2–5 years’ experience in corporate development, consulting, or a fast-paced tech environment. Strong communication, negotiation skills, and business sense. Proactivity, willingness to learn, aptitude for teamwork and results oriented. Ability to think positively, solution-driven, and strategically, aligned with the needs of the company.
