About ASL in Nestlé: As an internal consultancy, we collaborate with colleagues in sales & marketing worldwide to deliver value in marketing effectiveness, and price & promo effectiveness. To complete our Analytics Service Line department, we are seeking a Data Scientist / Modeller with FMCG experience in Marketing Mix Modelling and Price & Promo Analytics.
Position Snapshot: Location: Nestlé Global Hub in Barcelona, Spain. Permanent Contract. Bachelor’s degree. Fluent English.
About You: You are hands-on in building models and comfortable coaching team members or managing agencies. You excel at deriving insights from models and storytelling to inspire action and growth.
A day in the life of...: You’ll use advanced analytics to measure marketing & trade investments across various models, categories, and geographies. You will collaborate with stakeholders to optimize marketing investments supporting our commercial strategy. Responsibilities include:
1. Sharing your knowledge and building Nestlé’s internal modelling capabilities.
2. Partnering with stakeholders on analytics initiatives.
3. Using data to solve business problems with appropriate modeling techniques.
4. Advocating for data science capabilities within Nestlé.
5. Working with large, complex datasets to address non-standard problems.
What will make you successful: MSc in Math, Statistics, Physics, Operations Research, Econometrics, or Data Science. Proven experience with large datasets, automation, and marketing mix modelling. Knowledge of dynamic linear models is a plus. Ability to influence at senior levels, interpret data clearly, and collaborate effectively. Proficiency in MS Excel, SQL, R, Python or similar tools.
