Overview Client Solutions Lead – Cloud Applications role at Avanade. Avanade has specialized Microsoft architects and technical teams. The Client Solutions Applications Lead is a cross-functional role with a business-impact perspective on components and their relationships.

Role and Responsibilities Role Purpose
Avanade seeks a professional to lead the presales area for applications in Microsoft environments, capable of thriving in complex settings and managing uncertainty. This person will lead the presales area, define and execute the commercial strategy, act as a technical and strategic reference for clients, and position themselves as a trusted advisor within Avanade and its clients. The role requires hands-on experience in developing applications using Microsoft technologies and modernizing legacy systems into modern, secure, and scalable architectures.
A key aspect is integrating artificial intelligence into the software development lifecycle (SDLC), using solutions such as GitHub Copilot and other generative AI tools to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and optimize legacy modernization. The goal is to position Avanade and its clients at the technological forefront, driving digital transformation through innovation and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Go-to-Market
Design and lead the sales strategy for the applications area in collaboration with the regional leadership team.
Define Avanade’s value proposition for clients in application development and legacy modernization.
Articulate how Avanade integrates AI into the software development cycle and the benefits such as automation and faster delivery.
Demonstrate experience in implementing enterprise applications within the Microsoft ecosystem, leading development and modernization projects.
Mastery of tools like Azure DevOps and GitHub, integrating DevOps practices and AI solutions to optimize the SDLC.
Explain how AI transforms legacy modernization processes and align initiatives with Microsoft and other strategic partners.
Define value propositions that cover Avanade’s end-to-end approach from assessment to execution and managed services.
Client and Partner Relations
Represent Avanade in public presentations, industry events, and meetings with C-level clients (CIO, CEO, etc.).
Listen to client needs and translate them into effective, scalable solutions that maximize client investments.
Build trusting relationships, positioning yourself as a strategic advisor in digital transformation.
Commercial and Pre-Sales Support
Collaborate with sales and project teams to build high-impact proposals and optimize client investments.
Estimate effort, define teams, and ensure solutions fit client needs and maximize value.
Support pre-sales processes, demonstrations, and workshops with clients.
Drive adoption of Microsoft technology solutions in new and existing clients, advising on best practices for implementation and modernization.
DevOps and AI-Assisted Development Lifecycle
Expertise in modern DevOps using Azure DevOps and GitHub, with automated pipelines, version control, and continuous deployment.
Utilize GitHub Copilot and other generative AI capabilities to accelerate the SDLC, improve code quality, and reduce delivery times.
Promote AI usage throughout the application lifecycle, including legacy code modernization, unit tests, documentation, and refactoring suggestions.
Leadership and Culture
Lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Promote technical and commercial skill development within the team.
Qualifications Experience and Skills
Presales, consulting, or commercial leadership experience in application solutions with strong Microsoft Azure knowledge, development languages, and frameworks.
Experience preparing client-focused commercial proposals, including estimates and team definitions.
Hands-on and architectural experience in Microsoft environments; ability to solve problems and optimize architecture in production.
Direct experience with Microsoft technologies beyond theory or supervision; implement and improve enterprise solutions.
Knowledge of Microsoft DevOps services (Azure DevOps, Pipelines, GitHub, GitHub Actions, GitHub Copilot).
Excellent communication, influence, and presentation skills for technical and executive audiences.
Ability to define and lead commercial strategies.
Strong client orientation with ability to understand challenges and propose suitable solutions.
Experience with Azure and deep knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem.
Languages: Fluent in Spanish and English.
Education
University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related areas.
Certifications in Azure, cloud architecture, FinOps, or commercial leadership are valued.
