Job Description
Responsibilities
- The Quality Specialist will develop, implement, and improve quality plans, programs, procedures, and systems using statistical analyses, lean manufacturing concepts, and six sigma tools.
- Review, analyze, and report on quality system and process discrepancies; develop and implement best practices for standardization and excellence.
- Ensure that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards.
- Develop and update quality system training programs and train all levels of employees on these systems.
- Audit and test the quality system to ensure sustainability of processes and compliance with company and legal requirements.
- Report on quality performance metrics and present to site leadership.
- Collaborate with the general quality team to deploy, update, suggest quality standards and ensure site compliance with global standards.
- Investigate problems, perform root cause analysis, and develop disposition and corrective actions; recommend corrective actions and modifications with agreement from operation lead.
- Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control, lean concepts, and analysis tools; lead and/or participate in quality process improvement projects.
- Support Compliance Audit and Client Audit activities at the site; interface with other functions to ensure quality process requirements are met.
- Oversee the document control system by processing document change requests and developing new documents with divisions.
- Create, review, and approve changes to quality system processes to reduce variation and devise best practices.
- Consult with quality departments in other countries on best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree
- 2+ years of quality experience
- Certified Auditor or Certified Quality Analyst preferred
- Collaboration and partnering attitude is a must
- Excellent in Spanish; Proficient in English
- Good IT skills (Google Workspace)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong auditing and statistical skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong technical aptitude
