Primary Responsibilities
* Business development of Crop Sciences GEP activities in Europe
* Sales and customer contract development
* Key account management as required
Specific Responsibilities
* Leading sales and development activities
* Identifying existing and future market opportunities
* Approaching sector customers and potential clients
* Leading European GEP business focus
* Promoting SGS services at industry events
* Enhancing the company's image, capability, and integrity among product-line customers
* Collaborating with the Marketing Manager to produce publicity materials and utilize media tools
* Seeking additional opportunities and expanding services to clients
* Finding new business and increasing revenue in this sector
* Innovating service delivery methods
* Managing projects for clients requiring customized services
* Working with Crop Science Country Business Managers for consistent service delivery
* Collaborating with international sales teams for a unified market approach
* Identifying service gaps and working on new opportunities, including acquisitions
* Promoting and implementing service innovations
* Developing regional strategies and business development programs
* Partnering with technical and management teams for training and operational improvements
* Focusing on customer-centric service solutions
* Providing key account management for designated clients
* Acting as a primary contact for clients when needed
* Preparing customized service proposals
* Standardizing commercial approaches for regional key accounts
* Analyzing data and presenting results to clients
* Representing the voice of the customer within SGS
Other Activities
Participating in projects assigned by the Vice President - NR Agri Commodities / Crop Sciences.
Qualifications
Profile
* Over 10 years' experience in Crop Sciences, consultancy, or TIC industry roles
* Degree, Master's level education
* Proven sales and business development success
* Reputation as a collaborator with industry leaders
* Knowledge of GLP crop sciences operations and testing requirements
* Leadership and team management skills
Required Skills
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in English; French, German, or Spanish is highly beneficial
* Ability to work under high stress
