Our customer, a well-known Hotel Group, is looking to hire a Deputy Sales Director for their Luxury Lifestyle 5-star hotel in Barcelona.
Responsibilities
1. Lead the Sales and Events Department, developing team action plans, forecasting, and analyzing trends to enhance revenues.
2. Train and mentor sales managers, identify improvement opportunities, and develop sales strategies for various market segments.
3. Support the creation and execution of sales action plans, budgets, and marketing strategies.
4. Analyze forecasts, costs, and revenue reports to inform sales strategies and ensure optimal RevPAR and market positioning.
5. Organize and participate in familiarization trips, sales blitzes, and market visits.
6. Attend and contribute to key meetings and develop market knowledge to inform revenue strategies.
7. Research market trends and contribute to the annual business plan.
8. Manage sales resources according to budgets and lead property groups and meetings to maximize revenue and profit.
9. Ensure compliance with hotel credit procedures and manage sales reporting and financial documentation.
10. Maintain communication with partners and participate in sales calls and trade shows.
11. Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Customer Support, and HR departments.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in hospitality or business preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in hotel sales, with at least 3 years in a senior management role leading a team of 4-5 people.
* Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English; Catalan is a plus.
* Strong understanding of group, corporate, leisure, and event markets, with experience in the Barcelona luxury market.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office; Opera and Delphi are advantageous.
