As an ICEYE Operations Field Technician you will assist in preparing, executing, and assessing ground and flight testing campaigns for the High Altitude Platform System (HAPS) UAV. You will work as part of a dedicated operations team on a large‑scale UAV project that will influence aviation history.
Day To Day Responsibilities

- Perform aircraft setup, flight hardware integration, and field and central maintenance across testing campaigns.
- Assist with aircraft component integration and systems ground‑testing, including support on aircraft prototyping and systems testing activities.
- Plan and coordinate flight testing campaigns from a technical readiness perspective, ensuring all systems and logistics are prepared for safe and effective execution.
- Operate and/or pilot unmanned aircraft in a support capacity during testing operations.
- Assess and report on flight testing results, contributing to continuous improvement of operations and aircraft performance.
- Assist in the development of aircraft and operations‑related documentation.
Requirements
Must have skills

- 3+ years of experience as a specialist, integration, or field technician in a relevant field (unmanned systems, aircraft, robotics, motorsports, or other high‑performance/high‑complexity systems).
- Hands‑on experience in aircraft, robot, or motorsports prototyping and manufacturing, including familiarity with mechanical prototyping tools (e.G., 3D printing, CAD) and basic UAV/robot components (actuators, motors, ESCs, autopilot systems, etc.).
- Demonstrated field operations experience with strong technical aptitude and a practical, problem‑solving mindset.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
Nice to have skills

- Experience in unmanned aircraft testing and operation, including familiarity with autopilot/GPS stack calibration and ground software such as QGroundControl.
- Electronics engineering background with the ability to debug and implement quick software or hardware solutions in the field.
- Familiarity with lightweight composite structures and airframes.
- Valid EASA remote pilot licence up to specific category standard scenarios clearance.
- Good command of Spanish, both written and spoken.
- Proactive, can‑do attitude with a genuine passion for aerospace, robotics, or related fields.
