The Vall d´Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO) is seeking a Research Technician specializing in Prostate Cancer PDX models and In-Vivo experiments.
The Prostate Cancer Research Group aims to improve management of advanced prostate cancer by understanding tumor response and resistance mechanisms, integrating clinical and molecular data to enhance patient care. Our multidisciplinary team includes biomedical scientists, bioinformaticians, medical oncologists, and clinical data specialists. We have established a collection of patient-derived xenograft models used for in-vivo experiments on tumor sensitivity and resistance to therapies.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team, supporting scientific training and participating in new projects.
Responsibilities:
* Cell culture and in-vitro experiments with cell lines
* Conducting in-vivo experiments in mouse models, including drug administration, surgeries (orchiectomy), and tissue processing
* Supporting postdoctoral researchers in generating 3D organoid models from xenografts and cell lines
* Histological characterization of in vitro and in vivo specimens
* Assisting the lab manager with daily laboratory management tasks, such as testing cell lines for mycoplasma and preparing reagents
Requirements:
* Experience with laboratory mouse models in cancer research
* Full accreditation for working with mouse models in Spain
* Highly organized, proactive, team-oriented individual capable of managing multiple tasks
