Join to apply for the 2025_157_PART TIME_NURSE IN CATALONIA FOR DM1-Hub project role at IMPPC, Institut de Medicina Predictiva i Personalitzada del Cancer.
The IGTP is looking for two Research Nurses to work on the DM1-Hub project, which aims to be the basis for precision medicine for patients with Myotonic Dystrophy type 1 (DM1). The project brings together 80 professionals and a network of around 70 health professionals across 40 hospitals in 8 Autonomous Communities.
Main Responsibilities
* Contribute to different aspects of the DM1-Hub project.
Training
* Mission, objectives and main tasks in DM1-Hub project.
* Collecting clinical variables from patients (training by DM1-Hub clinical team).
* Passing neuropsychological tests (training by neuropsychologist).
* Database REDCap (training by experts).
* Blood sample collection and processing (training by DM1-Hub lab personnel); possibility of training with Treat-NMD in quality data acquisition.
Tasks
* Contacting patients (adults and children) and organizing visits in 10 hospitals of Barcelona under the supervision of the coordinating Nurse.
* Obtaining clinical information by phone and during in-person visits.
* Passing scales and tests to the patients.
* Assisting patients in filling patient reported outcomes.
* Entering all data in REDCap and collecting missing data afterwards.
* Attending regular meetings with the DM1-Hub curators and other team members.
* Labeling and processing blood samples, freezing them, and organizing shipments to IGTP GRENBA lab.
* Sporadically participating in patients’ workshops or other scientific events.
* Reporting results, problems and achievements to the DM1-Hub managing team.
Qualifications And Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
* Master in Science or related field (valuable).
* Skills in blood extraction.
* Experience working with patients (adults and children).
* 2 years of prior hospital work experience.
* Microsoft Office skills.
* Fluency in Spanish and Catalan; English valued.
* Skills in coordinating patients’ agendas.
* Communication skills.
* Open to work in more than 10 hospitals of Barcelona.
* Open to visits at patients’ homes.
* Interest in research and willingness to learn new skills.

* Indefinite contract (Science Law 14/2011) linked to DM1-Hub funded through grant PMPER24/00007 from ISCIII.
* Part‑time position.
* Start date: as soon as possible.
* Gross annual remuneration inherent to the square objected to this call, fixed based on experience and skills, distributed in 12 payments.
