Job Title: Product Specialist
Within the Product Management Team, you will play a critical role in shaping the product strategy for a key MDA product category in Spain. You will collaborate closely with the Marketing Director (MkD), cross-functional teams, and regional stakeholders to drive market share growth, ensure product competitiveness, and execute the product plan to meet business objectives.
Responsibilities:
* Set product strategies for the strategic MDA product category in Spain, preparing yearly plans to achieve business objectives and increase market share, under the supervision of the Marketing Director.
* Conduct deep market analysis to monitor market trends and competition, including trade research with dealers, feature benchmarking, pricing, and placement analysis. Provide monthly reports and conduct e-commerce benchmarking, market mapping, and retail price research.
* Benchmark the market to define product range and determine appropriate positioning and pricing strategies.
* Collaborate with MkD, other Product Specialists, and Sales Teams to develop the optimal product range, increasing market share, efficiency, and profitability. Coordinate the setup of new models and manage discontinuation of outdated models with relevant departments and regional management.
* Implement product category strategies, NPI plans, and evaluate stock efficiency. Prepare and localize product and marketing presentations and develop materials for dealers and the market.
* Ensure all products launched in Spain meet legal requirements, including user manuals, safety standards, and certifications. Prepare sales and market-ready materials such as product sheets and training resources.
* Monitor product profitability, working with HQ Product team on cost-saving projects and new product introductions. Communicate product updates, including discontinuations and launches, with supply chain and manufacturing, and manage related system entries (SAP, Teamcenter).
* Support marketing operations to enhance the company's image, especially through product communication.
* Provide internal support for product-related issues, including customer setup and spec sheets, and develop product training for stakeholders.
* Handle product queries efficiently and promptly.
Requirements / Experience / Skills:
* Native Spanish speaker with fluency in English; knowledge of Catalan is a plus.
* 1-2 years of experience in product management within the home appliances industry, either as a producer, distributor, or dealer.
* Strong technical knowledge of products and understanding of the Spanish market dynamics.
* Proficiency in Office applications, SAP Analyzer, Gfk, and digital tools.
* Decision-making skills and the ability to work well in a team.
* Analytical skills and a structured approach.
* Ability to network and collaborate across departments.
* Experience in market research, segmentation, and digital skills.
* Knowledge of project management methodologies.
* Understanding of the customer journey.
* Familiarity with legal regulations concerning product requirements, such as CE marking, labeling, and safety standards.
