You’ll provide guidance and leadership to develop, implement, and drive contract/claim management and risk mitigation strategies in accordance with Alstom’s business objectives; including extensions of time (EoTs), variations, orders, contract amendments but also providing technical leadership in Signalling Projects.
Responsibilities- Carefully analyze the contract to build and drive implementation of contract and claim management strategies, developing a pragmatic and proactive commercial approach based on contractual analysis of the project, to protect on a daily basis Alstom’s interests and taking into account the contract and business objectives.
- Monitor projects toward contract obligations, including support to monitoring of project schedule toward achieving contractual milestones.
- Ensure timely issuance of contractual notices and monitor correspondence by analyzing with Project Manager incoming and outgoing correspondences to third parties.
- Carefully monitor, record, and notify any third party regarding claims/counterclaims and prepare and manage all elements and supporting documentation for claims/counterclaims negotiations.
- Report on contract management and claims activities to the project, Legal, and Contract Management teams.
- Ensure Contract management KPIs are reported as per reporting deadlines.
- Provide training on contract/claim management to key project stakeholders, including project management, finance, engineering, sourcing.
- Provide at any time, on management demand, a reliable and understandable contractual and commercial analysis of the project.
Qualifications- Educational requirements: A degree in Law, Engineering, Finance, Technical, Economics or business sciences.
- Experience: 2‑3 years of Contract/Claim Management experience (preferred)/Project Management, mainly in the industrial sector. Experience in railway projects is a plus.
- Languages: Spanish (mandatory) & English (mandatory).
