Position Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Claims Specialist to join our Automotive Claims team.
This is a development role designed to prepare the selected candidate to take over the responsibilities of a team member who is retiring in one year.
During the first months, the position will be part-time, allowing the candidate to receive structured training and progressively assume responsibilities.
After this training period, the role will transition to full-time, with the expectation that the candidate becomes the right hand of the Head of Claims, managing claims independently and supporting the department in daily operations.
The role involves end-to-end claims processing, liability assessment, repair-cost analysis, settlement support and data-driven claims consulting, using our internal systems (carlogics) and image evidence from carpodX/carPod mobile inspections.
Key Responsibilities
* Receive, triage and register claims in our internal system CarLogics; link claims to VIN inspection data and CarPodX image sets.
* Investigate incidents: review inspection photos, timestamps and metadata; obtain repair estimates; support liability assessments between parties (OEMs, carriers, terminals, insurers).
* Support repair-cost analysis and invoice validation; help prepare settlementproposals and communications with customers, repairers and insurers.
* Coordinate with internal surveyors, superintendents and technical teams for complex or on-site verifications.
* Maintain accurate claim files and status updates in CarLogics; contribute to periodic reports and loss analyses.
* Identify and escalate recurring issues to Consultants for risk-management and quality-improvement initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with company procedures, OEM reporting standards and data security requirements.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent background in insurance, automotive engineering, logistics, risk management or related fields is desirable.
* Prior experience in claims, logistics, automotive, insurance or administrative roles is valued, but not mandatory.
* Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
* Good communication skills and willingness to learn negotiation and claims-handling techniques.
* Fluent English is essential; additional languages are a plus.
* Comfortable working with digital tools and willing to learn our proprietary systems.
What We Offer
* A one-year structured training program, initially on a part-time schedule, to fully prepare you for the role.
* After the training period, transition to a full-time position replacing a retiring team member.
* The opportunity to grow into a key position within the department, eventually becoming the right hand of the Head of Claims.
* Work within a global, technology-leading team influencing OEM/logistics processes.
* Access to proprietary tools (carpodX, carlogics) and continuous professional development.
* Career progression, involvement in quality-improvement projects and industry workgroups.
* Competitive salary and benefits (details to be discussed), plus occasional international travel.
