The Business controller is a finance business partner for the Importers team and provides critical and relevant financial information for decision-making;
covering historical, current and future performance. The Business Controller drives improvements in reporting and measurement to support operational excellence and business results, provides support and direction to the global product support and R&D projects. The role also supports Director, Finance & Business Control on cost initiatives and strategic projects. The position is open for Europe.Main tasks and responsibilities
Provide and prepare management with financial information and business review andanalysis and use this information to participate in planning, budgeting, decision making andcontrollingEnsure accurate OI ,Sales and Fixed cost forecasting accuracy across all 3 Importers regionsWork as a business partner and prepare financial plans and estimates of future business plans, budget and strategy.Challenge the business to improve the financial performancePerform fixed cost controlling activities and analysing monthly cost centre performanceImprove and develop current ways of working, tools, methods and processesMonitor and analyse monthly results against the budget. Prepare and present financial performance reports according to Hiab guidelines and controlsMonitor profitability, cost, working capital and cash flow development and ensure that all negative deviations are addressed with no delayImprove and develop current ways of working, tools, methods and processesDevelop and track KPIs and plans to deliver short-term and long-term goalsSupport sales, project delivery and other functions in specific financial mattersParticipate in finance projects at Hiab levelEnsure that adequate controls are in place for the business and organisation and that controls are implemented and followed in the organisationInform, initiate and implement corrective actions together with relevant functions to ensure continued effectiveness and efficiency of controls.What you’ll need to succeed
Education:
Relevant academic degree (e.G BSc/MSc in business and economics)Internationally recognised accounting qualifications
Experience:
5+ years in high level business controlling role and/or other demanding financial rolesManufacturing companies in similar industries and in a global business environmentBusiness control, financial reporting, finance processes and systemsManagement accounting and reporting, project accountingStrong capability in use finance tools - e.G. Qliksens, HFM & Google toolsGood understanding of IFRS (esp revenue recognition), local GAAP and tax regulationsExperience in international business and matrix organisationExecuting for results, strong analytical capabilities with pragmatism and operational skillsGood understanding of IFRS (esp revenue recognition), local GAAP and tax regulationsLanguage skills:
