The Portfolio Management team manages solar and BESS projects across the UK, Italy, the US, Chile, Spain, Portugal, India, and Poland, supporting the growth of NextEnergy Capital funds. This team is part of the investment management division and oversees all solar projects owned by the Group’s investment vehicles, in collaboration with WiseEnergy, the asset manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and refining management strategies for each fund's portfolio, focusing on solar PV and energy storage systems, especially in Iberian Countries and Chile.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage specific assets and portfolios to ensure investment objectives are met.
* Support project handovers from the investment team, ensuring smooth transition and coordination among involved departments.
* Oversee key project contracts, including sale and purchase agreements, throughout the investment lifecycle, coordinating with senior team members.
* Draft and review contractual documents, incorporating necessary legal clauses for business protection.
* Maintain oversight of information flow for internal and external reporting.
* Act as Director of SPVs for assigned assets or portfolios, if needed.
* Monitor technical, financial, debt, and commercial activities of asset management, driving optimal outcomes.
* Meet regularly with WiseEnergy to identify risks and discuss action plans.
* Report to senior management and stakeholders on portfolio performance and risks.
* Support negotiations and management of operational contracts like O&M, PPAs, and H&S.
* Review budgets, cost variations, and financial outcomes, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
* Collaborate with internal teams across functions such as investment, energy sales, and procurement.
* Manage and mentor junior team members, if applicable.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
* Effective time management and prioritization skills.

* Proficiency with IT systems and data analysis (intermediate Excel skills required).

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
* 3-5 years of experience as an asset or portfolio manager in renewable energy, preferably solar.
* Experience managing solar assets in Iberia and/or Chile, with knowledge of local markets and key players.
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Science, Mathematics, or related fields.
* Understanding of contractual agreements.
* Knowledge of Italian is desirable.
