Job Description
VM Essentials is HPE’s streamlined virtualization solution for small to mid-sized businesses, simplifying infrastructure management, enhancing performance, and enabling scalability. The Digital Sales Account Manager will focus on pipeline creation, development, and conversion within enterprise segments, aiming at new logo acquisition and revenue growth through proactive campaigns and industry expertise. Collaboration with account managers, partners, and solution leaders is essential to expand HPE’s virtualization market presence.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and support customer portfolios focusing on HPE Virtualization solutions.
* Drive proactive sales efforts, aligning solutions with customer needs and industry trends.
* Analyze customer industries and competitors to position HPE solutions effectively.
* Manage sales projects and create growth forecasts.
* Participate in campaigns to increase sales and generate new projects.
* Implement up-selling and cross-selling strategies to strengthen relationships.
* Identify and develop new opportunities, focusing on customer outcomes.
* Achieve sales targets through pipeline management.
* Provide regular updates on account activities and progress.
* Use PTB and IB data to prioritize opportunities in collaboration with account managers.
* Research accounts and industries to position HPE VM Essentials.
* Understand competitor strategies for effective positioning.
* Lead initial customer conversations to validate virtualization opportunities.
* Develop pursuit plans and manage sales pipelines.
* Build consultative relationships by understanding client needs and aligning solutions.
* Collaborate with partners including Channel, GSI, and SDPs to drive market expansion.
Mandatory Requirements
* 2-5 years of IT sales experience with a proven track record.
* Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or related field preferred.
* Outgoing personality with strong communication skills.
* Self-motivated, responsible, eager to learn.
* Fluent in German and English.
Preferred Requirements
* Knowledge of VMware is advantageous.
* Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems.
* Experience selling Hypervisor technologies.
* Channel sales experience is a plus.
