Role Responsibilities
* Assess, measure, and monitor credit risk of potential and existing clients, performing detailed financial analysis and preparing credit risk assessments for domestic and foreign counterparties.
* Analyze macroeconomic conditions for countries and report new clients to the Client Acceptance Committee.
* Define procedures and methodologies to measure, control, and follow up financial risks.
* Monitor liquidity, cash overdrafts, settlement risk, and risk indicators on a daily basis.
* Support regulatory reporting (e.g., Pillar III Disclosures Report, ICLAAP) and provide monthly reports to the Risk and Audit Committee.
* Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, AML, Internal Audit, and Legal teams.
Qualifications
* Experience in a risk department with deep knowledge of credit risk analysis and financial markets, especially for mutual funds and ETFs.
* Additional skills in liquidity risk and market risk are highly useful.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
* Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and computer skills (Power BI required).
* Self‑motivated, team‑oriented, and capable of coping with time pressure and deadlines.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent; credit training preferred.
* Hands‑on attitude, effective organization, and ability to execute complex simultaneous tasks.
