The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company in Spain, ensuring compliance with local regulations, managing reporting processes, and supporting strategic decision‑making. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial integrity and optimizing business performance. Key Responsibilities Prepare and supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Ensure accuracy and compliance with Spanish GAAP (PGC) and, where applicable, IFRS Manage general ledger, reconciliations, and closing processes Monitor internal controls and implement improvements Compliance & Taxation Ensure compliance with Spanish tax regulations (VAT, Corporate Tax, SII reporting, etc.) Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors Oversee statutory filings and regulatory requirements Budgeting & Forecasting Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights Support business units with financial planning Cash Flow & Treasury Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions Optimize treasury processes Business Partnering Provide financial insights to senior management Support strategic decisions with data‑driven analysis Collaborate with operations, sales, and HR teams Requirements Education & Qualifications Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or Spanish equivalent) is a plus Experience 5–10+ years of experience in finance / accounting roles Previous experience as Financial Controller or Senior Accountant Experience in multinational environments is highly valued Technical Skills Strong knowledge of Spanish accounting standards (PGC) and tax regulations Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Navision, etc.) Advanced Excel skills Languages Fluent in Spanish Professional level of
