AVL is the world's largest independent company for the development, simulation and testing of powertrain systems (hybrid, combustion engine, transmission, electric drive, batteries, fuel cell and control technology) for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, construction, large engines and their integration into the vehicle.
AVL is searching for candidates to work within the facilities of a major customer in Valladolid integrating the customer performance team we have on-site.
This position compiles the Global Powertrain Performance Leader and the Powertrain Performance Leader specific: DRIVEABILITY | FUEL EFFICIENCY & POLLUTANT EMISSIONS | NVH.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Monitor, evaluate and provide final opinion in all or one of the following areas:
o Driveability and performance
o Fuel efficiency, pollutant emissions and OBD
o NVH (noise, vibration, harshness)
* Lead the convergence of the development of gasoline and hybrid on these performances
* In serial-life, make sure that cost reduction initiatives do not risk the powertrain performance level
Additionally, the Global Powertrain Performance Leader is also responsible for:
* Lead a team of experts to achieve internal development targets on new engines and vehicles
* Synthesis management with PPCs emissions/consumption, drivability and NVH
* One voice from all performances to the project manager
* Reporting to the Quality team and project during the development of the project
YOUR PROFILE:
* Good English level. French is a plus.
* Engineering degree or similar. Master degree is a plus.
* 3-5 years of experience in PWT calibration (or related topics)
* Knowledge of powertrain performances (Fuel efficiency/Pollutant emissions | Drivability | NVH)
* Project Management (Timing, quality, deliverables, reporting)
* High sense of responsibility, goal-orientation and teamwork skills.
* Extra curricular activities like Formula Student is a plus.
* Matlab knowledge is desirable.
* Driving license is needed.
