This role performs project management processes. Is responsible of defining, leading and managing multiple large to complex projects in line with the project management methodology to achieve successful project delivery. Implementing consulting projects and supply chain solutions for new and existing Lead Logistics Provider (LLP) accounts. Supporting the growth of the LLP product across Europe, and working closely with sector and regional business development teams in the pursuit of new LLP business from concept to operation. Leveraging your operational experience to identify new savings and service improvement initiatives, and supporting the LLP operations teams in the continuous improvement and growth of existing business. Supporting the dedicated customer teams in implementing projects to drive value through gain share. Ensuring a common approach to implementation and post implementation support is used globally across the business unit.
Overall Role Purpose
* Support the development of the project management strategy and deploy strategic project management initiatives
* Manage the overall planning, control, status reporting, stability and delivery of large / complex projects (multi area or product) to ensure that project goals and objectives are met within agreed upon time, scope, budget and resource requirements
* Drive the resolution of conflicts and issues
* Challenge scope changes to ensure benefit realization
* Own the budget of the project and performance against the business case to ensure benefit realization
* Function as a subject matter expert in area where the project manager has expertise (e.g. automation, specific IT systems, inventory control etc) to support the tender processes
* Obtain feedback from all stakeholders at critical milestones to ensure project efforts meet customer expectations
* Responsible for managing and governing the DHL DePICT project management methodology and risk management process
* Deliver best practice project documentation, completed to quality standards, kept up to date, available throughout the project and maintained in the project database reporting
* Lead the application change management methodology (DHL ACT) and approach
Essential requirements for this position
* DePICT or other project management methodology
* Language Business English Skills
* DHL ACT or other change management methodology
* 5+ years experience in project and programme management roles
* Ability to lead and manage a cross country, multicultural team
* Ability and flexibility to work in multiple countries
Preferred requirements that would be an advantage
* DHL DMAIC process improvement methodology
* 5+ years experience in logistics
* 5+ years experience in operational management roles
* Professional project management certification e.g. IPMA Level C (Level B if required), PMI PgMP, Prince 2 Practitioner, Managing Successful Programmes, Management of Portfolios
