Business development manager, biosimilars

Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven professional to manage and grow relationships with existing customers while driving product sales targets across assigned markets. The role also focuses on expanding our biosimilar portfolio through out-licensing and partnering activities, while coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure successful development, registration, manufacturing, and supply.

Key Responsibilities

Product Sales Management

You will be responsible for delivering sales targets across assigned customers and territories by:

  • Collaborating closely with existing customers to build accurate sales forecasts and secure purchase orders
  • Monitoring and following up on order fulfillment and delivery timelines
  • Negotiating pricing and commercial terms to maximize value and competitiveness
  • Expanding business with current partners through new SKUs, product launches, and portfolio growth
  • Ensuring successful execution of new product launches in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

Licensing & Business Development

You will be responsible for delivering licencing targets;

  • Identifying, evaluating, and securing new partners for the commercialization of Intas biosimilars
  • Developing compelling business cases and presenting them to senior management
  • Leading negotiations from initial discussions through to the execution of definitive agreements
  • Coordinating due diligence processes with partners and internal technical teams
  • Negotiating and securing licensing fees, ensuring proper invoicing and collection

Partner Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for partners, resolving issues across development, registration, and commercialization phases
  • Foster strong, long-term relationships by identifying new collaboration opportunities and driving mutual growth

Strategic & Market Insights

  • Provide valuable commercial insights to internal stakeholders, including market trends, competitor activity, and emerging risks/opportunities
  • Proactively scout and evaluate opportunities to strengthen the portfolio (new products, technologies, partnerships, etc.)

Relevant Functional & Technical Skills / Industry Experience

Advanced proficiency in Excel for financial modelling and business case development

Strong experience in delivering high-quality presentations to senior management

Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including market dynamics and regulatory environment

Established network within the pharmaceutical sector across multiple geographies

Professional & Educational Background

Degree in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (MBA is a plus)

5–10 years of professional experience, including several years in the pharmaceutical industry

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Business Development and/or Licensing roles

Previous experience in biosimilars is considered a strong advantage
