Job Description Summary
The Sales Operations Lead is responsible for the sales forecast as well as the spend forecast and tracks Sales KPIs and quota attainment for a dedicated region within Telco Solutions, HPE Networking. In addition, this role holds great responsibility for the yearly budgeting process (LTP) for the Go-To-Market organisation in Telco Solutions. You are also the crucial link between sales and our order management teams ensuring sales orders are booked accurately at the end of every quarter. This role is key to drive Sales Performance enablement for our Telco Solutions business providing our sales teams with the analytics needed to effectively drive opportunity management. While the Telco Solutions Business Unit is constantly evolving, you will be a key player to drive important change initiatives when it comes to our management of sales data, our toolset and processes. The Sales Operations Planning Lead works very closely with the Sales Director for the region and frequently collaborates with the second Sales Operations Planning Lead in the team. This is a key function within the Sales Operations Team, located at the intersection between Business, Operations, Finance and Management. This is a unique opportunity to be connected to our customers and our internal functions. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is a strong communicator and collaborator that can effectively manage different groups of stakeholders. You will become part of a global, high-performing team with diverse cultural backgrounds. By providing deep analysis and accurate performance forecasts, you will be able to contribute to the overall success of the business unit. Hence, you should have a passion for working with numbers, an analytical mindset and an eye for detail. Advanced Excel skills are a must-have to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities
Maintain and manage sales forecasts and spend forecasts for the designated Telco Solutions region within HPE Networking.
Track Sales KPIs and quota attainment; support budgeting processes and quarterly order booking accuracy.
Lead yearly budgeting (LTP) for the Go-To-Market organisation in Telco Solutions.
Act as the link between sales, order management, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate booking of sales orders at quarter end.
Drive Sales Performance enablement by delivering analytics that support opportunity management and change initiatives in sales data, tools, and processes.
Collaborate closely with the regional Sales Director and fellow Sales Operations Planning Lead; engage with cross-functional teams across time zones and cultures.
Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholder groups (sales, business operations, Finance, FAM, and Management).
Qualifications
Language: Fluency in English is essential; Spanish is beneficial.
Strong numerical skills with attention to detail.
Analytical skills with Advanced Excel (including macros) required; Salesforce and SAP experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
Business planning experience and familiarity with sales forecasting, spend forecasting, budgeting processes, quota tracking, and P&L management.
Collaboration skills across time zones and diverse cultural contexts; flexibility for a global role.
Strong communicator capable of managing multiple stakeholder groups such as sales, operations, Finance, and Management.
