The Role
The company is seeking a Business Development Manager / Strategic Partnerships Lead to drive commercial growth and establish strategic collaborations across Europe while strengthening engagement with the Chinese life sciences ecosystem.
This is a high-visibility role working closely with senior leadership, combining market strategy, partnership development, and international expansion within a cutting‑edge AI‑driven scientific environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify, develop, and execute strategic partnerships with biotech, pharma, CROs, and research organisations across Europe and APAC
* Support commercial expansion initiatives with a strong focus on China market collaboration
* Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders across industry, academia, and innovation ecosystems
* Develop regional market strategies aligned with company growth objectives
* Lead business development activities including opportunity sourcing, negotiations, and partnership structuring
* Represent the company at international conferences, industry events, and partner meetings
* Work cross-functionally with scientific, product, and executive teams to align commercial strategy with technical capabilities
* Monitor market trends and competitive landscape within AI-driven drug discovery and life sciences innovation
Required Experience
* Proven experience in business development, partnerships, or commercial strategy within biotech, pharma, AI drug discovery, or life sciences
* Demonstrated experience supporting expansion into APAC markets, ideally China
* Strong understanding of the Chinese biotech/pharma ecosystem
* Experience working within international or cross-border collaborations
* Ability to operate in a science-driven, deep-tech environment
Must-Have Requirements
* Fluent or strong professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English
* Experience working with or expanding into APAC (ideally China)
* Ability and willingness to work partially aligned with APAC time zones
* Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Background in AI drug discovery, computational biology, or data-driven biotech platforms
* Existing network within Chinese biotech/pharma or innovation ecosystems
* Experience working in startups or high-growth deep-tech companies
