The Strategic Planning & Client Management function plays a key role in supporting themercial and strategic direction of BBVA's Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) division, with a particular focus on the SIX and Institutional Business units.
About the job:
This position serves as a critical link between client strategy, business monitoring, executive support, and internalernance-enabling data-driven decision-making and ensuring effective execution across teams, products, and geographies.
As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, enhancing client management practices, and supporting senior management in decision-making processes. You will coordinate and synthesize cross-functional insights, promote alignment between business units, and faciltate the execution ofmercial plans and key client strategies.
The position offers significant exposure to transversal projects and interaction with Senior Management, contributing to BBVA's long-term strategic vision andmercial positioning.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Leading or supporting strategic business initiatives across coverage area.
2. Promoting consistent client segmentation models and coverage structures.
3. Driving the development and execution ofmercial plans and client strategies globally.
4. Driving client growth and performance through deep client understanding, cross-sell-driven value creation, and alignment across products and geographies.
5. Promoting transversal business planning and monitoring.
6. Supporting internalernance, planning cycles, and budgetary coordination.
7. Acting as a liaison across internal stakeholders (Finance, T&C, Marketing, Coverage, Product Teams).

Qualifications:
Academic Background:
12. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or related disciplines.
13. Additional qualifications such as MBA, MSc Finance/Economics or CFA are a plus.
Professional Experience:
14. Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic consulting or equivalent roles involving strategic thinking and business planning.
15. More than 10 years at BBVA, with a strong understanding of internal dynamics and decision-making processes.
16. Solid knowledge of Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) is desirable.
Languages:
17. Native Spanish speaker.
18. Fluent in English (C1 or higher).
