We are looking for a IT Junior Project Manager

is responsible for leading and managing high-impact complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring their successful delivery by overseeing planning, execution (on time, within scope and budget), risk management and PPMO framework adherence. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing project teams, and ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.


Key Responsibilities

* Project Leadership: Lead the completion of complex IT and business transformation projects and ensure alignment with business objectives and timelines.
* Strategic Direction & Project Planning: Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, integrate all aspects of the project—including timelines and resource allocation—and oversee project governance documents adhering to the PPMO framework.
* Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor project progress, milestones and deliverables; provide regular status updates, reports and presentations to stakeholders; ensure accurate and timely reporting to the Project Board and senior leadership.
* Risk Management: Identify potential risks, issues and dependencies; develop proactive mitigation strategies; manage escalations and critical issues strategically.
* Resource Allocation: Allocate resources efficiently (budget, personnel, technology); consult with line/resource managers and third parties; optimise utilisation across multiple projects.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensure transparency and communication, and act as liaison between project teams and executive leadership.
* Team Management: Manage diverse project teams, fostering collaboration and high performance; motivate and mentor junior project managers.
* Quality Assurance: Implement robust quality assurance processes and standards; ensure delivery of high‑quality products and services; continuously improve QA practices.
* Change Management: Manage changes to scope, requirements and timelines; coordinate adjustments with stakeholders; lead change initiatives for smooth transitions.
* Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation; encourage feedback, learning and adaptation; lead initiatives to enhance PM methodologies and tools.


Top 5 Main Activities

* Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules and budgets, identifying milestones, dependencies and resource allocation.
* Monitor execution and resolve issues proactively, tracking progress against timelines, managing scope changes impacts, and addressing risks to keep the project on track.
* Identify and resolve conflicts across resources and priorities, facilitating effective communication and decision‑making with stakeholders.
* Monitor project performance and quality using KPIs and other metrics.
* Implement and oversee change management processes.


Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
* Proven experience (1‑3 years) as a Project Manager or in a project support role, preferably in IT or business transformation projects.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent problem‑solving, decision‑making and conflict‑resolution abilities.
* Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (Azure Boards, ServiceNow SPM, Microsoft Office).
* Appropriate certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
* Experience managing software development done by third parties offshore is beneficial.
* Proficiency in English and intermediate level of Spanish recommended; knowledge of additional languages (German, Italian) beneficial.

* Adept at negotiating internally and externally.
* Planning, designing and implementing change management activities to transition the organisation.
* Experience with cloud technologies and tools such as Confluence and Azure DevOps.
* Experience in managing Business and IT projects.
