Trek Travel provides global cycling, hiking, and walking vacations of a lifetime with the goal of helping more people actively explore and experience the world. 60;We are seeking specifically located candidates who will be responsible for overseeing and hosting Trek Travel’s Self-Guided trips in Spain, specifically in Andalusia. 60;You will be the main point of contact for Trek Travel Self-Guided Guests while they are on trip, preparing bikes, greeting guests, and being available for any needs that arise in the duration of the trip. 60; 60; This is your opportunity to join the Trek Travel team and leave your mark on our company, on the active travel industry and on the world at large. 60; 60; POSITION RESPONSIBILTIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO: 60; Read trip itinerary and trip reports prior to trip start 60; Prepare all bikes prior to trip start according to Trek Travel standards 60; Charge all electronic devices, such as Di2, lights and e-bike batteries 60; Ensure RWGPS experience is updated for guests and guests know how to use it 60; Ensure GPS tracks are accurate and ready for guests 60; Greet guests on Day 1 at the trip hotel 60; 60; Ensure guests filled out Waiver and Release of Liability forms 60; Give guests an orientation of the region and the trip days 60; Show guests where bikes and equipment are stored at the hotel 60; Conduct a safety and RWGPS talk in addition to a bike demo before the first ride 60; Greet guests on departure day 60; Ensure bikes on departure day are mechanically sound 60; Complete all trip end duties such as a Trip End Report 60; YOU HAVE/ARE: 60; Knowledge of bike mechanics such as: 60; Remove and replace either a tube and/or tire from both the front and rear of a bike, and properly seat wheel in the dropouts with proper tightening of the quick release lever 60; Remove and install pedals 60; Adjust a bike saddle, both height and fore/aft position 60; Remove and replace a brake cable on a road bike equipped with internally routed cables 60; Properly adjust both brake pad alignment and lever throw on a road bike 60; Remove and replace a derailleur cable on a road bike equipped with internally routed cables 60; Properly adjust both front and rear derailleurs on a road bike 60; Adjust a bike helmet for the proper fit 60; Properly tape handlebars on a road bike 60; Demonstrate general familiarity with carbon fiber bike frames 60; Change a handlebar stem and properly tighten to the specified torque 60; At least 23 years old 60; Reside in or around one of the following regions where we operate: Marbella, Málaga, Medina Sidonia, Ronda, or other surrounding areas.
Clear driving records 60; Current First Aid and CPR certifications 60; Proficient driving a standard transmission with a trailer 60; Available in the months of April – October. 60; 60; HOST COMPENSATION RATES: 60; The host gets paid on the first and last day of each trip. 60; The host gets paid for each prepped bike. 60; 60; If an emergency happens and The Host spends time assisting guests, the host will be paid an hourly rate. 60; Gratuities are not recommended on Self-Guided trips.

This is a part-time, contracted position.
This position reports to the Director of Guide Operations and will work cross-functionally with the Guide and Trip Design Departments.
This position is based in Spain.
