We are looking for a Technology Specialist specialized in Mobile DevOps to be part of our Nestlé Nespresso Digital and Tech Team. Position Snapshot: Type of Contract: Permanent. Type of work: Hybrid/Remote. Work Language: Fluent Business English.
The Role
As a Mobile DevOps Technology Specialist, you will work on the mobile technology powering the Nespresso business, in eCommerce and IoT contexts, with direct-to-customer focus and high traffic. You will be part of a large development organization with direct impact to the online business. You will bring deep technical expertise to the product team, serving as a technical reference for Nespresso mobile applications, focusing on release processes and DevOps practices and tools, guiding and promoting efficient use of processes and technology to enable cost-effective delivery of business requirements.
You will be responsible for overseeing the release process of our mobile applications, ensuring smooth publication to various app stores and collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline the release cycle and improve quality using DevOps tools and practices.
In This Role, You Will
* Drive our near-shore partner team of DevOps engineers.
* Implement and maintain release automation tools and processes for continuous integration, delivery, and monitoring of mobile applications.
* Ensure synchronization of release squads with developers and scrum master/delivery coordinators.
* Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to understand release requirements and ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases.
* Monitor and troubleshoot release-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
* Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
* Work with app store teams to ensure compliance with guidelines and security standards for mobile applications.
* Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in mobile release management and DevOps.
What We’re Looking For
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Release Engineer or DevOps engineer in the mobile application domain.
* Strong knowledge of mobile app development and release processes for iOS and Android.
* Proficiency with release automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Fastlane).
* Familiarity with version control (Git) and bug tracking tools (JIRA).
* Knowledge of mobile app signing/provisioning and app store submission processes.
* Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in Agile/Scrum teams.
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting, with attention to detail.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities; effective English communication at different levels in the organization.
