**Department**: Generic Division**Location**: Metrowest AreaMassBay fosters educational excellence and academic success to prepare students for local and integral citizenship, to meet critical workforce demands of communities, and to contribute to the region’s economic development.Located in Greater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.**Position Summary**:**Key Responsibilities and Duties**:- Design and monitor with participants individualized Success Plans with college and career goals and milestones; - Plan and coordinate college and career-related field trips and visits to area colleges and industries; - Coordinate with MBCC and FSU college offices to support the transition to historically underrepresented high school students to college and career (i.E., programs for first-generation college students, work-study and internships, study abroad, and other academic and nonacademic services); - Perform administrativetasks associated with department activities (i.E. - document all student contact in computer database; reports, forms, and general correspondence; progress reports, updates, referrals, resumes; operate a computer and utilize word processing, database, desktop publishing, Internet, or other software programs); - Interact with various agencies/individuals (i.E. - attend meetings and participate on committees; serve as point person for the National College Attainment Network and other local professional organizations and networks); school partners; state and local funding agencies; - Maintain professional knowledge in applicable areas (i.E. - maintain a working knowledge of assigned area; research new trends andadvances in the profession; read professional literature; attend conferences, workshops, and training sessions); - Work with the CPC teamto assist with other day-to-day operations and coordination of events as needed; - Inter-Office Collaboration:_- Work with departments at MassBay, Framingham State University on initiatives to serve and support our students; - Collaborate with others to understand and administer divisional and College grants in order to incorporate the resources under these grants into our student support services; - Represent the department or the division for campus, college and community activities; - Departmental Support:_- Assist in reviewing and developing College and departmental policy and effects on student success; - Advise the Executive Director regarding student/program issues; - Other duties as assigned.**Commitment to Equity**:- Support MassBay’s commitment to the Equity Agenda; collaborating with faculty, staff, and students on the College’s strategic initiatives dedicated to closing the equity gap related to student outcomes; - Support MassBay’s commitment to being anti-racist; embracing a community free of bias and inequality; - Contribute to discussion and review of applicable College policies with a critical lens toward diversity, equity, and inclusion; - Engage with the Officeof Diversity on issues related to underserved student success; - Engage in conversations with colleagues and students regarding best practices within the discipline or programmatic related to equity and inclusion.This list is not to be considered all-inclusive.
