As the Accounting and Finance Expert, you will be integral to the organization’s financial reporting and strategic decision-making processes. Your responsibilities will include:
Financial Statement Management:
Building and maintaining Financial Statements under Spanish GAAPS for Insurance entities, with a focus on technical provisions, financial investments, bad debt, and deferred taxes.Collaboration:
Serving as the primary contact for accounting subjects, working closely with central teams in the HQ on matters involving Spanish GAAPS, IFRS, and local GAAPs).Bookkeeping Accuracy:
Ensuring precise bookkeeping, focusing on the recognition of expenses/provisions and managing payable/receivable accounts.Planning and Controlling:
Leading the planning and controlling process, monitoring performance against plans, identifying deviations, and suggesting corrective actions.Tax Reporting Support:
Assisting in local tax reporting efforts (including VAT, withholding taxes, SII, IPT, Consortio) with an emphasis on Corporate Income Taxes built under Spanish GAAPS.Administrative and Finance Activities:
Participating in diverse administrative and finance-related activities to enhance departmental efficiency.Business Partnering:
Collaborating with local departments to provide insights that inform strategic decision-making.Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.Strong knowledge and experience with Spanish accounting GAAPS is essential;
familiarity with IFRS is desired, while HGB experience is a plus.A minimum of 5 years in accounting departments, preferably within the insurance or auditing sectors.Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills;
