We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Communications Advisor to join our small team and help create impactful content that supports Sandfire’s growing reputation as a global copper producer of significance.
This exciting role, reporting to the Head of Corporate Affairs on a 9‑month, fixed‑term basis, leads Sandfire’s internal communications, working with a broad range of stakeholders across our organisation, including senior leaders and our global Assets.
The Communications Advisor is a hands‑on role for a strong communicator, who enjoys working at pace, using their creativity and passion to develop content for multiple channels, and partnering with others to deliver engaging and business‑critical communications.

* Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills
* Content creation – the ability to develop engaging communications (including campaigns) across a range of channels
* Brand management
* A demonstrated ability to influence and engage key stakeholders across all levels of an organisation to deliver outstanding communication results
* Photography, video and digital content creation/production skills (highly desired)
* The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Key responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of internal communications, including strategy, planning and execution
* Manage Sandfire’s internal communication channels, including the digital workspace, Group pre‑start meetings, leader communications and global digital newsletter
* Plan and deliver employee communication engagement events, including regional and global Town Halls
* Ensure brand consistency across internal and external materials
* Lead Sandfire’s annual corporate photography and video shoots and maintain our image library
* Work collaboratively with global Asset teams and internal stakeholders to produce content, (including images and videos) that supports Sandfire’s brand, strategy and business priorities
* Support the broader Communications Team to deliver content across social media, media and other channels as well as strategic advice to key stakeholders
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Journalism or Public Relations with a minimum of five years’ experience
* Experience working across both internal and external communications in a large organisation (preferably mining)
* A positive and enthusiastic approach, a desire to take on new opportunities, and learn and grow
* To be a reliable, collaborative team player, committed to excellence, finding solutions and delivering best practice communications
