For a prestigious Manufacturing company we are looking for a Software Engineer – Data & AI Platform
Location: Barcelona (Hybrid – 2 days/week in the office)
Contract Type: Permanent, full-time

Role
As a Software Engineer – Data & AI Platform, you’ll play a key role in designing, building, and operating a scalable cloud environment that enables innovative data and AI solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with other engineers and stakeholders to deliver robust, production-ready systems.
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop components of a sovereign Data & AI platform offered as a cloud service.
- Extend system architecture and integrate relevant open-source technologies.
- Build REST APIs to enable customers to manage service lifecycles.
- Develop Kubernetes operators to automate lifecycle management of cloud services.
- Take full ownership in an agile team — You build it, you run it!
- Perform in-depth root cause analyses and implement sustainable solutions.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably in cloud environments.
- Strong programming skills in Golang.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes — ideally with cluster creation, advanced administration, or operator development.
- Familiarity with technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Airflow, or Dremio is a plus.
- A growth mindset: you love learning new tools and sharing your knowledge.
- Collaborative spirit and proactive attitude — you thrive in a team that values curiosity and continuous improvement.
