Loss Prevention Expert
To keep our operations network secure and ensure operational continuity, we seek proactive, solution-oriented professionals to join our team as Loss Prevention Experts. In this key role, you will provide security services across our operational sites within the end-to-end supply chain to protect our people and prevent loss.
Key Job Responsibilities
1. Support resilience of our business operations by contributing to emergency and crisis planning for sites within your area of responsibility.
2. Identify vulnerabilities (e.g., loss, associate experience, process improvement) and define appropriate mitigation actions, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
3. Serve as the point of contact for risk management with local management and external actors (e.g., law enforcement agencies, industry associations) on security-related matters.
4. Ensure compliance of your assigned sites with Amazon's global security standards.
5. Own security and loss prevention projects at local, regional, and country levels.
A Day in the Life
As a Loss Prevention Expert, you will join a team of security professionals providing security services to various business units within a specific geographical area. Your duties include conducting physical security audits, investigating policy violations and security incidents, collecting information through monitoring systems, analyzing data, and conducting interviews.
Your findings will help identify process vulnerabilities, and you will implement mitigation measures. You will maintain the physical integrity of our sites by auditing systems, collaborating with subject matter experts and external suppliers to maintain system functionality, and contributing to security infrastructure improvements and budget planning.
You will interact daily with external security service providers to ensure high-quality security delivery and a positive customer experience. Additionally, you'll deliver security and loss prevention training and oversee the implementation of our security plans.
About the Team
Within the Global Security Operations organization, Security and Loss Prevention aims to protect Amazon's business targets and brand by managing security risks that could jeopardize associates, customers, assets, or disrupt operations. We work with stakeholders to secure the supply chain, prevent risks, manage incidents, and investigate causes to prevent recurrence.
Minimum Qualifications
* A degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
* Experience in security, risk management, investigations, or related areas.
* Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Upper intermediate proficiency in written and verbal English and Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications
* Advanced degree or industry certification.
* Experience with physical security systems and investigation techniques.
* Experience in retail, warehouse, or supply chain environments.
* Valid driver’s license.
