Overview
We are looking for a Software Solutions Engineer to join a growing team supporting industrial software and connected manufacturing solutions across customer environments. This role sits between software, hardware, and industrial systems, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working across IT infrastructure, production technology, commissioning, and customer-facing project delivery.
The position focuses on software solution support, data-driven service deployment, industrial integration, and collaboration with both customers and internal engineering teams. You will play a key role in supporting connected production systems, implementing upgrades, validating integrations, and ensuring long-term customer success.
Key Responsibilities
• Support and retain customers operating under software support contracts
• Contribute to the development and delivery of service contracts for installed solutions
• Deploy and support data-driven services and connected manufacturing solutions
• Work closely with sales teams to define service and support offerings
• Validate compatibility between industrial systems, software solutions, and tightening technologies
• Integrate local developments and customer-specific solutions with internal platforms and tools
• Manage customer requests, reporting, and service tracking systems
• Assess IT and software scope during project and commissioning phases
• Install, configure, validate, and test industrial software solutions
• Handle change requests, troubleshooting, and customer training activities
• Support pilot deployments and production integration phases
• Provide remote and on-site maintenance support when required
• Monitor incidents, system performance, and operational reliability
• Reconfigure systems and implement software updates and upgrades
• Collaborate with engineering, service, operations, and customer stakeholders throughout project lifecycles
Requirements
• Experience working within industrial software, manufacturing technology, automation, or connected systems environments
• Understanding of industrial electric tooling, automation systems, or production technology
• Strong knowledge of industrial IT systems and office software environments
• Experience with network infrastructure and communication protocols
• Knowledge of database management and communication technologies such as SQL, MQTT, RabbitMQ, APIs, or similar
• Basic understanding of PLCs, MES systems, automation, or related manufacturing technologies
• Ability to troubleshoot and work across both software and hardware-related environments
• Understanding of IT project delivery and coordination
• Comfortable working with sensitive operational or production data
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills
• English communication level B1/B2 or above
• Full driving licence required (Category B)
Nice to Have
• Experience with Smart Factory, Industry 4.0, or IoT solutions
• Exposure to commissioning or production line integration projects
• Experience supporting manufacturing or assembly environments
• Familiarity with cloud-connected industrial platforms or monitoring systems
• Background working with industrial communication protocols and connected devices
