Ebury (Malaga) Office - Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home per week
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented People Advisor to join our team. This is a foundational HR role with a focus on operational excellence and administrative precision. We are looking for someone with the ambition to grow into a People Partner role specifically supporting our Spanish operations as they evolve.
What You’ll Do
As a People Advisor, your primary mission is to ensure the HR engine runs smoothly. You will provide the essential support that allows our people strategies to come to life.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Support: Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers, providing clear guidance on policies, procedures, and day-to-day HR queries.
HR Administration: Own the full employee lifecycle administration—from approving contracts and onboarding new joiners to processing leavers and maintaining our HRIS with 100% accuracy.
Employee Relations (ER): Support the People Partners in managing ER cases. You’ll handle the documentation, take minutes in meetings, and help resolve lower-level queries while learning the nuances of employment law.
Payroll & Benefits: Work closely with the local country leaders and the payroll department to ensure our people are paid accurately and on time. You’ll be the "go-to" for payroll and benefits queries.
Data & Reporting: Maintain our HR metrics. You’ll generate reports on turnover, absence, and engagement, helping us spot trends before they become issues.
The Career Path
This role includes a structured development plan designed to transition you into a People Partner role. As part of your growth, you will:
Gradually take on more advisory responsibilities for our Spanish-based teams.
Be mentored on Spanish employment law and cultural nuances.
Participate in international projects to build your global HR perspective.
What You’ll Need
Experience in an HR administrative or entry-level advisory role.
An understanding of Spanish employment law.
CIPD Level 3 or 5 (completed or currently studying) or a degree in HR/Business.
You aim to ‘get it right the first time’. You enjoy creating order out of chaos and have a high level of discretion.
Your written communication is professional and warm.
You’re comfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
Proficiency in written and spoken English and native-level Spanish.
We value curiosity, a sense of humour, and a ‘roll up your sleeves’ attitude.
