We are looking to incorporate for the Senior Oracle Exadata DBA position people like you with the skills and development competencies in digital technologies to lead the technical delivery and maintenance of Oracle Exadata databases in compliance with internal standards and processes.

* Collaborates with the vendor, Oracle and Santander global colleagues to leverage best practices and ensure Exadata systems are operating in the most effective manner.
* Contributes to the support and delivery of non-Exadata database changes.
* The ability to work with other teams across the group to share ideas, best practices and ensure consistency of experience across Santander.
* Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
* Innovative thinking with an ability to motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams.
What you will add value in
* Deep technical knowledge of Oracle database technologies including RAC, Data Guard, RMAN and Exadata engineered systems.
* Strong knowledge of database resiliency, capacity management, incident/problem/change management, Linux operating systems, database security and control.
* Understanding and knowledge of public cloud concepts, software lifecycle management.
* Emphasises relationship with other cloud computing services and service functions.
* Configures, customises and supports the toolset and development tools.
* Compares and contrasts different PaaS pricing models and services.
* Tests and supports the platform environment using appropriate tools and technologies.
* Works on the implementation and support of an outsourced development platform.
