The Role:
Were hiring a Head of Data & Analytics to lead our data function from our Barcelona HQ. Youll own the strategy, architecture, and team — turning data into a genuine competitive advantage across clinical operations, commercial performance, and patient experience.
This is a balanced role: part strategic leader shaping how Impress uses data to scale, part hands-on operator whos still close to the architecture, models, and dashboards. Youll lead a team of 5–10 analysts, analytics engineers, and data scientists, and partner directly with our C-suite, Clinical, Commercial, Operations, and Product teams.
What youll do:
* Define and own the data & analytics strategy across Impress, aligned to business priorities
* Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 5–10 across analytics, analytics engineering, and data science
* Evolve our data platform and architecture (warehouse, modelling, BI, ML tooling) to scale with the business
* Partner with Clinical, Commercial, Operations, Marketing, and Product leaders to embed data in decision-making
* Build the analytics and reporting backbone that powers our clinics, patient journey, and growth markets
* Drive a culture of data quality, governance, and self-service across the company
* Oversee key initiatives in forecasting, patient outcomes analytics, clinical performance, and commercial optimisation
* Stay hands-on where it matters — reviewing models, unblocking architecture decisions, and raising the technical bar
What were looking for:
* 8+ years in data & analytics, with 3+ years leading teams (Director / Head of level)
* Strong technical foundation: SQL, modern data stack (e.g. Redshift/Snowflake/BigQuery, dbt, Looker/Tableau/Power BI), and exposure to ML/data science workflows
* Proven track record building or scaling a data function in a fast-moving environment — ideally healthcare, multi-site retail, marketplaces, or consumer subscription
* Strategic mindset: you can translate business questions into a data roadmap and communicate clearly with executives
* Strong people leader — youve hired, coached, and retained senior data talent
* Comfortable being hands-on when the moment calls for it
* Fluent English; Spanish is a plus but not required
* Based in or willing to relocate to Barcelona (on-site role)
