Mission
We are seeking a Global Financial Controller to lead and strengthen financial control, reporting integrity, and governance across our international group.
Reporting to senior finance leadership, this role owns the group-wide controllership framework. The position ensures the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of financial information across all entities while driving standardisation, strong control environments, and scalable processes.
The role will also support the ongoing finance systems and reporting evolution, helping drive standardised processes and adoption across markets to enable scalable, analytical insight and strong governance.
This is a high-impact leadership role with broad exposure to multi-entity operations, international finance teams, and group finance systems.
Key ResponsibilitiesGlobal Controlling & Financial Leadership
* Own and oversee the monthly close process across multiple entities and jurisdictions, ensuring timeliness and quality.
* Lead the review and drive consistent standards for financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting documentation across the group.
* Ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant local GAAPs.
* Act as the primary escalation point for complex accounting matters across markets.
* Partner closely with local finance leaders to drive alignment with group accounting standards.
* Proactively identify financial risks, inconsistencies, or control gaps and drive remediation plans.
* Lead group interaction with external auditors, including planning, coordination, and resolution of audit findings.
Policies, Controls & Standardisation
* Own the development, maintenance, and enforcement of group accounting policies and close procedures.
* Strengthen the global internal control framework and monitor its effectiveness.
* Drive standardisation of processes, templates, and documentation across markets.
* Improve close discipline, review rigor, and balance sheet governance.
* Promote a strong controllership culture across the organisation.
Systems & Data Governance
* Provide finance functional ownership and governance over group finance systems (including NetSuite), ensuring they effectively support close, control, and reporting needs.
* Ensure consistency of chart of accounts, entity structures, and financial data integrity.
* Oversee data quality reviews across markets and ensure timely remediation of issues.
* Drive continuous improvement of accounting workflows, reporting structures, and system controls.
* Partner with Finance, IT, and Operations on system enhancements and transformation initiatives.
* Champion the appropriate and responsible use of generative AI to improve documentation, analysis, and finance processes.
Experience & Qualifications
* 10 - 15 years of experience in group controlling, financial reporting, or similar leadership roles in international multi-entity organisations. Prior audit experience (Big 4 or equivalent) is valued.
* Strong technical expertise in IFRS and group accounting.
* Experience in fast-growing, PE-backed, or M&A-driven environments is highly valued.
* Exposure to marketing, advertising, or digital-first organisations is a strong plus.
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
* Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) strongly preferred.
* NetSuite experience strongly preferred.
* Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills and strong financial systems proficiency.
* Demonstrated ability to drive process standardisation and change across multi-country / multi-entity environments.
Languages
* Fluent English and Spanish (required).
* Additional languages are a plus.
