Experteer Overview As a Senior Firmware Engineer, you will design and qualify embedded firmware for safety-critical components and systems. You will collaborate across the business to leverage Littelfuse’s protection legacy, driving robust testing and documentation. You’ll establish safety-critical software processes aligned with UL 1988, IEC 60730, IEC 61508, and ISO 26262, and contribute to production ramp-up and supplier engagement. This role offers impact in developing smart, self-contained components that enhance electrical system protection and control. - Develop and qualify embedded designs for safety-critical components or systems
- Set up unit-level and system-level tests; collaborate with QA to create automated test suites
- Define and implement safety-critical software processes per UL 1988, IEC 60730, IEC 61508, ISO 26262
- Develop DFMEA for safety-critical components and systems
- Coordinate with contract manufacturers or in-house production to implement designs and evaluate production processes
- Travel as needed to assess suppliers and support ramp-up
- Develop and execute protection system components and system qualification and reliability tests
- Provide regular project updates within overall planning and executionResponsabilidades
- 10+ years hands-on embedded firmware design for 32-bit/64-bit ARM (bare-metal and RTOS: FreeRTOS, Zephyr)
- Experience with SPI, I2C, UART, Modbus, CAN, Ethernet
- Working knowledge of cryptography and encryption for embedded devices
- Hands-on hardware bring-up and debugging tools (JTAG, scopes, logic analyzers)
- Experience with safety-critical firmware development and product compliance testing
- Entrepreneurial mindset; ability to navigate ambiguity and experiment
