Job Specification This position is a permanent position within the Harbert European Real Estate team (Madrid Office) who manages private equity real estate Investment funds. The Junior Asset Manager is responsible for working with the Senior Asset Manager in maximizing the value and performance of the portfolio. This role involves strategic planning, financial analysis, property performance monitoring, and coordination with property management, leasing teams, and external partners to ensure investment goals are met.
Responsibilities and Duties : Implement asset management strategies to enhance property value and investment returns in accordance with the business plan. Monitor financial and operational performance of the assets. Manage the invoice approval and payment process, review invoices versus budgets and follow up payment of invoices. Prepare reports for investors, lenders, and internal reporting as required.Ensure compliance with loan covenants and investor requirements. Review and prepare documents for signature of the Managers.Sign documents on behalf of the Managers when required according to the approval protocol.Liaise with notaries for signature of deeds by the Managers. Organise and manage weekly calls and monthly meetings with third party service providers and operating partners. Oversee the day-to-day implementation of the business plan for each investment. Work closely with property managers, leasing agents, and service providers to optimize occupancy, NOI and profitability. Evaluate and execute on value-add opportunities, including renovations, re-leasing, or repositioning of assets. Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to support strategic decisions. Assist the team on the implementation and execution of disposals, as well post completion matters. Maintain the filing and record keeping systems for all projects. Collaborate with acquisitions, development, finance, and legal teams as needed.
Skills and Qualifications : Degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or related field; MBA or relevant certification is a plus. 2–5 years of experience in real estate asset management, private equity, or investment management. Full proficiency in both oral & written English Strong financial modelling, budgeting, and analytical skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple assets and projects in a fast-paced environment.
